It’s the little things in life that matter the most.   

I keep telling myself to appreciate what I have and to be grateful every day.  It’s not easy to start each day with a grateful heart.  Sometimes I need a little reminder.  So I decided to write this list to guide me back to what’s important.  Maybe these quotes would be of help at the right time for you too.

1.  If someone misjudges you, that is their problem, not yours.

We have to accept that we can’t control what others think or where their loyalties lie.     

2.  Let go of expectations.

When things don’t go as planned, it is easy to feel negative, disappointed and let down.  We need to change our perspective and decide to change our mood.  This is what we can control… how we choose to respond to the situation.

3.  The only person I compare myself to is my yesterday self.

Everyone has wishes to further themselves, to live their best life, and strive for things within their personal and work lives.  When comparing ourselves to others it is easy to become discouraged.  It is fine to admire their strengths and achievements but we shouldn’t question our own.  Instead we should only compare ourselves with our yesterday selves.

4.  I am enough

We are all unique and have so many little things that make us who we are, whether that is good enough for someone else, doesn’t matter.   It is hard to look at oneself and admire the good.  We prefer to see the things we don’t like.   For this we need to change our mindset.   Worthiness comes from within. ♥

 5.  Life isn’t meant to be perfect, it’s meant to be lived.

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to enjoy your life. 

6.  Watch me

Not sure I can call two words a quote, but it’s about feeling empowered, to believe in yourself.  It’s my answer to doubt.  It’s my mantra. 

I will fulfill my dreams.  Watch me! 

Inspiration.

I read the following post in Powtoon.   The 23 Most Inspiring People Alive (for me).  It’s to inspire you to live with more awesomeness.  Some really awesome people are mentioned in the post, people who have defied odds beyond my comprehension.  It reminds me to be grateful and not complacent.   It inspires me to go after my dreams.  

Focus.

I downloaded a few meditation apps.  There is one in particular I am enjoying quite a bit.   It is called the Chakra Meditation and it has a section for Charkra Activation.  I listened to it one night before bed, and the morning I woke with renewed energy.  I’m not saying it was because of this meditation, but who knows, maybe it was! 
I have since continued using it and definitely feel more clear.
